Parent Partnership
At Shining Stars Day Nursery & Pre-School we believe that children benefit most from early years education and care when parents and settings work together in partnership.
Our aim is to support parents as their children’s first and most important educators by involving them in their children’s education and in the full life of our setting.
We achieve this in a variety of ways:
- Regular communication during handovers at the beginning and end of the day
- Dedicated Key Person for every child
- Daily diaries for babies with details of sleeps, meals/milk taken, nappy changes and activities during the day
- Baby Days, our online learning journal which can be accessed anytime by unique user passwords
- Monthly newsletters (copies can be found here)
- Regular social media updates via Facebook & Instagram (we only include children who have permission)
- Parents Evenings
- Events such as afternoon tea, breakfasts, parties and ‘show and tell’
- Feedback questionnaires
- Open door policy – we are always approachable, ready to listen and offer support
