You will need to have:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 2/3 Qualification
  • Passionate and motivated to make a difference
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exemplary understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Knowledge of SEND advantageous
  • Be passionate about supporting children’s learning and development, both indoors and outdoors;
  • Deliver inspirational practice; Lead by example and be willing to learn new skills;

  • Work in partnership with parents, families and other professionals.

Job description

We are seeking an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our team. As an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to children in a nursery setting. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children and are looking to gain practical experience in the field of early childhood education.

Duties:

– Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
– Support the implementation of daily routines and activities
– Engage in play-based learning activities with children
– Assist with meal times, including feeding and promoting healthy eating habits
– Change diapers and assist with toilet training
– Monitor children’s well-being and report any concerns to senior staff
– Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth running of the nursery
– Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the nursery
Experience:
– No previous experience required; this is an entry-level position
– A genuine passion for working with children
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team
– Patience, empathy, and a caring nature
– Willingness to learn and develop new skills
