We are an independent owned Nursery and preschool based in Malvern. Our building was once Poolbrook Primary School and in 2010 it was converted to a purpose-built modern-day Nursery. In 2016 we were awarded funding for a brand-new Preschool to be built. Additional to our 4 playgrounds we are also extremely privileged to have a woodland area at the rear of the building for your child to enjoy the forest activities that we have planned for them.

We provide a secure, well supervised and happy environment for children from 3 months to 5 years of age plus all our staff are fully qualified and very experienced in all aspects of childcare. Additional to their qualifications and training, they are all first aid qualified and are all local to the Malvern area plus our apprentices are working towards either level 2/3 in childcare. We are here to help your child learn, have fun and reach their individual potential but also to work with you to create a loving and caring atmosphere.

About Shining Stars Nursery and Pre School Malvern

One step ahead

Shining Stars Nursery & Preschool is owned and directed by Shazia Begum and is managed by an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager Victoria Leech who strives to ensure the team deliver the best care and education to children aged 0-5. Shining Stars Nursery and Preschool Located in Malvern has an Ofsted Rating of ‘Good’. We are open 50 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday and offer our services between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

At Shining Stars Nursery and Preschool, we provide a caring, safe and stimulating environment. We cater for children from 3 months of age until they are ready for primary school. The nursery adheres to a holistic approach of early childhood education and offer enriching and inspiring experiences for your little ones. These experiences are shaped by highly motivated early years practitioners who tune in to what interests your child and how they can build on these interests to encourage learning and development. Our practitioners work in partnership with parents and outside professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children are achieved. The practitioners at Shining Stars Nursery and Preschool are committed to safeguarding the well-being of the children in our care at all times.

Our aim is to provide children with all the skills and knowledge they need to confidently move to the next stage of their journey in learning and development as well as having lots of fun along the way too.

What we provide!

The nursery has three rooms skilfully equipped with furniture and resources that will assist children in their learning and development. Each room comes with its own garden, providing the children with unlimited access to the outdoors.

As your child progresses through the Nursery, so too does the level of sophistication in response to their growing curiosity, physical ability, and emotional intelligence. Children are encouraged to be bolder, to choose increasingly challenging and diverse experiences and to celebrate their progress and newfound skills and knowledge.

We encourage children to celebrate different cultures, religions and family dynamics. We also encourage children to be respectful and kind to others incorporating British values into daily nursery life.

You will receive regular updates on your child’s progress complete with observations & photographs of key developmental steps. You can meet with staff to talk about your child’s progress & will be invited to attend regular parent’s evenings.

Bluebell Woods

Shining Stars Nursery and Pre School also has a beautiful forestry area, we believe that children are stimulated by being in the outdoors, it can increase their self-belief, confidence, learning capacity, enthusiasm, communication and problem-solving skills and emotional well-being. Children love being outdoors exploring the natural world and so do we!

Our onsite cook is called Gemma, who prepares our meals from scratch using fresh ingredients to make sure that all of our children get those lovely vitamins and nutrients that they need to keep their bodies and minds growing! Naturally we accommodate any special dietary requirements your child may have.

Here at Shining Stars Nursery and Preschool we have an open-door policy and you are welcome to pop in or call to arrange a visit to come and see for yourself the wonderful environment and learning opportunities we are ready and excited to provide to you and your child.

Special Education Needs

Some children require additional support in order to develop and narrow any gaps in their learning and development. Our SENCO works alongside parents and professionals to ensure children with SEN receive the support and care they need. Ofsted say we have effective procedures to identify any children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities and provide targeted support to help them progress.

WHAT PARENTS SAY

Absolutely lovely staff, honestly can’t fault them and their dedication to their jobs. Always on hand to support you with anything, it be needing extra funding for 1 on 1 and behaviour management at home/nursery or if you just need somebody to listen to you and be your friend. Would honestly recommend this nursery to everyone AND not forgetting the hot lunches Gemma makes for the kids, my son would eat all his meals at nursery but would be fussy at home so that in itself speaks volumes. 10/10

Megan Ellis
