Bluebell Woods

Shinning Stars Nursery and Pre School also has a beautiful forestry area. We believe that children are stimulated by being in the outdoors, some of the key benefits of this include;

• Increase in children’s self-belief and confidence
• Hands-on experiences provide the most effective form of learning
• Increased communication and problem-solving skills
• Encourages children to assess risk and make informed decisions from an early age.

Our woodland area enables children to use lots of skills that can be linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. Situated within the woodland area is a mini assault course, a role paly camp fire area, a mud kitchen and wooden house, a natural swing, den building materials. There is also a little hill of mud which children are given tools to dig and mark make in.
